His artworks are personally collected by some people including private and public institutions. His artworks still show the pottery or vessel tendencies even though they were not limited to traditional forms which still consider functions. Ahmad Roslan works on cylindrical forms that resemble a container or a bottle. He uses throwing techniques and lets other formed scratches and curves on the surface of the artworks created during the process as a sign of movement. This movement is formed because of the creating process which uses the throwing techniques. The curves on the upper part of Roslan’s work seem broken because of the asymmetrical throwing process. It also shows the unique character of clay which is its plasticity. The plasticity character makes it possible for the clay to keep its shape during the forming process. This is one quality, uniqueness, and identity of ceramic artworks, especially pottery artworks that mainly focus on the exploration of the form characters and good surfaces clay bodies including the uses of finishing.
